Rob left for Texas and Trevor has had a few mishaps. He got his head stuck in between the piano and piano leg (a 5 inch span) and I almost had to call 911 because I couldn't get him out and yesterday he fell on the driveway while I was shovelling and he cut his lip. It was bleeding so much he looked like he had Ronald McDonald's mouth. He stopped crying after I picked him up so I knew he was okay but the blood just kept pouring out and he was licking it to swallow it and then I put sugar on it but he kept licking it off. Then he wanted to eat a banana so I gave it to him and then it stopped bleeding when he was halfway through.
He is not in a crib anymore. This past week he has clued in that he can get out without having me there. At first he just stayed in it until I went to get him, then the next step was coming out only when I was beside him, then the next step was yelling, "MOMMY OUT" from his room and I would just yell back "TREVOR 123 OUT" from my room. Now he just comes out on his own, comes to my bed, says "Hi" then passes me my glasses and says "gahis" then passes me the remote and says "kid show".
He now has letter recongition for all the capital letters of the alphabet and some of the lower case. He also has number recognition for the numbers 1-20. 13-19 all sound like "uhm-teeh" though. He also knows his shapes but he pronounces star and heart the best. And he knows what letters he needs to tell me to spell his name...which is Vehver!
Rob is now coming back a week early so he gets in the day before Trevor and I head off to Halifax for March Break. He gets two weeks off so he will still be off when we return. The following weekend is Easter so it will be two short work weeks.
Here are some pictures from today. You can see his scabby lip and one of his favourite places to sit. I am not sure what are the Little People are lined up for. There must be something exciting going on at the parking garage.
