Gibsons

Here are some shots from our first few days.
I almost thought we weren't going to make it to the airport the morning we left. The overnight snowstorm plus the first day of the bus strike made it take over an hour to drive 15 minutes and I really didn't think we would make the flight so I called AirCanada and they said if I missed it, I could be put on standby and it would be $150 EACH...then the panic really started to set in. Once we hit the East/West road, things were smooth sailing and we managed to get to the airport a little under an hour before our scheduled flight...which was delayed by 15 minutes...then 35...then we boarded at 45...then we took off 2 hours later! So when we reached Toronto, we had to RUN to the next gate, which was thankfully only 5 away (but I managed to drop Trevor...he cried but just because it scared him, not because he was hurt!), and get on...lugging the carseat over my head as I tried to walk all the way down to the last row of seats while everyone just watched me. Fortunately they were waiting for 10 more people besides us so we took off 30 minutes late. We ended up eating lunch at 1pm. All things considered, Trevor did really well.
Our luggage didn't make the connecting flight so we had to improvise his pjs later that night...two large t-shirts and some knee-high sports socks! We got to the ferry terminal early so we had time to eat dinner at Trolls. Trevor stuffed a few too many fries in his little tummy because by the time we loaded onto the car deck and opened the van door to get out, he barfed all the fries out! Most of it ended up on the car deck but some got on me and a little in the van. And because his poop leaked on the plane, he was already wearing his Spiderman pyjamas, which I had packed in case our luggage didn't make it...so I should learn to pack two extra outfits.
The weather was nice the first day we were here. We went out with no coats or hats or mitts or boots or snowpants...which were in our absent suitcases anyway. Our luggage arrived that night so all is good now.
He has been having fun playing with all our old toys. He has been playing with the Barbie furniture and the toy cookware. I will pack that up in a few days and get the Little People stuff out for him.
It has snowed a little bit here and the snow is on the mountains. I took some pictures on the way home from the mall. He likes to sit in the box and try to close it. He does it at least once a day...he is weird.
