First Days of School

Trevor had his first couple days of school already. The first day is just a 30 minute interview with the teacher so that she gets to know the kids a bit more and then the next time they go it's the small group day where just a few kids go. Then everybody goes on Tuesday.

He did well in the interview and talked to her and was interacting...and then it was time to go so he BAWLED and in between great big heaving sobs, he cried I WANT TO STAY! I think the kid that was after us was worried! I think he thought it would be much longer because he just started playing and the week before when I was setting up my class I had to bring him and we were there from 9-4:30 each day. Now I am hoping that he doesn't think he can do whatever he wants and play on the teacher's computer and run around in the halls like he did at my school!

These pictures are from his first small group day. He walked with Bonnie and all the big kids and the little kids and when he got to school he started walking off with the big kids (you can see one in the background) and his teacher (with the red hair) had to grab him and bring him to the Kindergarten side. The last two pics are of them getting organized outside to see who goes on which bus home and who goes with which parent/caregiver when the morning was done!
