Here are some pictures of the resort that I took on the last day. Our flight was scheduled for 8 pm so we had the whole day at the resort and got on the shuttle at 5pm. At that time the website said that our flight was on time.
We got to the airport about 10 minutes later and went to check-in but they said the flight was delayed until 2am. So we checked in and went through security (very lax and this was the day after Christmas) and waited...
and waited...
and waited...
They had a bobsled in front of the Cool Runnings restaurant (whose food was gross even by airport restaurant standards) so we walked down there a lot and then took the moving walkway back to where we were waiting. We did this until about 9pm and the entire airport started closing. All the stores and restaurants and we were just sitting there and our flight was no longer on the board. There were other people there but not very many since other resorts somehow knew that the flight was delayed and kept their people there.
Some time past 11pm, the three Air Canada staff came and told us that the flight would arrive around 3:45am but the crew would not be able to fly since they had too many hours so they put us on a shuttle and we headed to the Rose Hall Resort by Hilton. It was a 4.5 star resort but sooooo nice compared to our 3.5 one. Thankfully I always pack an extra set of clothes and pjs in my carryon because I am very experienced with Air Canada's ability to lose luggage! But we didn't have our swimsuits or our toiletries. You can see Trevor's little bum sticking up as he is sleeping. He finally crashed on the shuttle ride to the hotel. I realize now that I did not take any pictures of it but you can click the link to see how nice it was.
